Hi, I am using DP83848-EP in my design. The design consist of 24 Phys (24 Ports). No hard straps are used to control MDIX (By default it is enabled). While testing theses 24 ports in loopback mode we observed that it is, it not working with a straight CAT cable, but with a Crossover CAT cable. RTL also not driving anything on MDIX_EN pin. Since Auto MDIX is enbaled by default, it is expected to work with both cross over cable as well as straight cable. What can be the reasons for this observation. How can I make my design work with both Staight cable and Crossover cable.
