DP83848M: Topography of 50MHz clock

Part Number: DP83848M
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C6748,

Hello,

We are using the DP83848M in RMII mode.  This requires a 50MHZ clock, which we will generate with a 50MHz oscillator connected to pin 28.  Since this 50MHz clock also needs to be connected to the Ethernet MAC (RMII_MHZ_50_CLK pin on TMS320C6748 DSP), I am wondering where to place the oscillator in relation to the MAC and PHY.  Should it be centered between the two ICs so the trace lengths to each can be matched, or is this not important?  If it is important, should I also include a series termination resistor in each trace to avoid reflections from one to the other?

Thanks in advance for your help.
