    Hello,

    If you want to use mode 1 for the STRAP_1 pin, you would leave the pin open as stated in table 7-15. The strap configuration is only taken into consideration during power-up/reset, which does have a pull-down resistor. During normal operation, the pin does not really do anything, and the PHY_AD will not be changed. In your case, it will remain 0x0000 during normal operation.

    Again, is it okay if the input pin is OPEN during normal operation?
    I am asking a question that I think that the unused input pins of C-MOS usually need processing such as pull-up or pull-down.
