Do we have a signal conditioner for SPI bus?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LVC125A, SN74AUC125

Hi team,

My customer is consulting if TI has a suitable solution like a signal conditioner for SPI bus? such as a redriver/buffer/drive etc.

They just mention to me their trace length is concerning and want to have a redriver in consideration of the signal quality.

Do you have a part number in mind that could propose to me please?

Thanks

Max

  • Max,

Our group has several devices with SPI integrated for configuration and control of the transceiver, but no specific SPI redriver devices unfortunately.

We have a TI Design that uses CAN to extend the length of I2C signals which can be found here. This might be a bit overkill for what you're asking, but it may be helpful to give ideas.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Regards,

    Eric Hackett

  • SPI uses logic-level signals, so in most cases, you would simply use a logic buffer, something like SN74AUC125 or SN74LVC125A, depending on the voltage, and with the appropriate number of channels.
