TCAN1145-Q1: register configuration steps from other mode to sleep mode

Part Number: TCAN1145-Q1

Dear team,

Do we have example code for switching one mode to sleep mode? For example, I want to switch normal mode to sleep mode. There is a register bit, mode-sel. Setting mode-sel=001h means entering the sleep mode. Before setting mode-sel, do we need to set other registers firstly? Such as, interrupt clearing, fault clearing, timer clearing and so on.

Thanks & Best Regards,

Sherry

  • Hi Sherry,

The change the device mode, it is only necessary to write to the mode control register ('h10 bits [2:0]). It is recommended that the interrupts are cleared before changing modes so that when the device wakes, the interrupts will indicate what events have taken place since the device was put into sleep mode.

Faults are external conditions that should be cleared before changing into sleep mode. For instance, if there's an undervoltage condition on one of the supply pins, this should be resolved before writing into sleep mode. Most timers in the device are paused or reset when entering sleep mode. No action is required by the controller regarding clocks before sleep mode can be used.

It looks like you posted images. If so, could you add this using the "insert->image/video/file" tool?

Let me know if this answers your question and if there's anything else I can help clarify about this device.

    Regards,
    Eric Schott
