DS90UB935-Q1: 935 data rate questions and POC noise requirement

HI team, 

My customer has below 2 quick questions regarding to DS90UB935-Q1:

1. In DS mentioned that 935 can support up to 3Gbps, how this data rate come up? In synchronous mode the FC data rate can up to 4Gbps according to DS ? What will happen if exceeds the max data rate device can support? 

2. Do we have any requirement on the POC noise for DS90UB935 or FPDLINK III?

    Hello,

    1. The total throughput of the 935 takes into account the effect of overhead as well.  So the ~3Gbps of actual video data and then the overhead adds to that.  If you exceed this throughput limit then you are going to start to see errors in the device and you will not be able to get the full video data on the deserializer side.

    2. For PoC noise requirements on FPD3 there is an app note found here https://www.ti.com/lit/an/snla272/snla272.pdf that has good info regarding PoC design. Take a look at section 2.5 for some noise requirements.
