Hello ,
I will use the DS160PR810 on a design and I am on layout stage.
The design is a PCIe Gen4 add in card. Can you please let me know what is the maximum PCIe track length allowed from the edge connector to the DS160PR810?
Thanks,
Alexandros

Hi Alexandros,
This depends on the insertion loss of your transmission loss. DS160PR810 can compensate up to about 20dB loss at Gen4 Nyquist frequency. Based on the quality of the board or loss characteristics of the board you can see if your loss is within 20dB.
Also, if you have s4p file of your transmission media or connectors you can use DS160PR810 IBIS-AMI model to do a feasibility study.

Hello Nasser,
Thanks for the answer. Can you please let me know what is the trace length of the high speed signals from the PCIe finger connector to the DS160PR810 on your evaluation board?
Thanks,
Alexandros
