I have a application: there are ~40 stepper motors, which has its own driver board. I need to connect them all.

Each stepper suck ~1.5-2Amp current @ low speed, ~0.5-0.8amp current @ normal speed.

Does THVD80x0 suitable for this application?

my motors are 24v

Marco,

The THVD8000 is a power over communication device utilizing RS485 as the interface. There's a chance it could work, but a standard RS485 transceiver may be better. I've notified our RS485 expert of this thread and he will respond accordingly.

If you want to transmit data (control signal) on the power line, THVD8010 or THVD8000 could be considered. However the operation data rate is less than 1Mbps.

but after some calu, i found if there are over 40 nodes on Power line, lnductor will be huge (consider ~2A per node)

The inductance is related to the carrier frequency. The purpose of adding series inductor is to create high impedance so data can be coupled to the bus. You can look at section 5 of this design guide for the detailed discussion.
