TPS65987D: SPI flash device programming for TPS65987D

Part Number: TPS65987D

Hi,

We are using a SPI flash device connected to TPS65987D PD device. Would like to know, if this device needs to be pre-programmed or we can program through I2C master? Please let me know the process to program the device for the first time.

Hello,

I would recommend programming the SPI Flash directly. You can also program over I2C if you have an EC or MCU in your system, however it is a more complicated process. I can provide a document for flashless-boot via direct message however I highly recommend programming the flash using the GUI tool.

Hi Amith,

No you should finish putting your board together. You will need to power your flash and then flash it using the Application Customization GUI tool.
