DS90UB935-Q1: Power consumption with no data at MIPI

Part Number: DS90UB935-Q1

Hello Support team,

The image sensor has one low power state like below.
* MIPI data line is stopped at low power state, but I2C line is active.

In this state,
Can DS90UB935 and 953 make I2C active and communicate with BC and ACK with FC?
Will the power consumption be lower than the normal condition transmitting image data with FC?
If the power will be reduced, please let me know the reduction level.

Best Regards,
Hirokazu Takahashi

  • Hello Hirokazu,

Yes, 935 can still communicate with I2C and over both FC/BC FPD-Link even if there is no MIPI data from the sensor. The power consumption should be slightly lower but only by a very minimal amount. For design purposes, you can assume that the 935 consumption under this state is roughly equal to when it is transmitting the MIPI data because the FPD-Link will be active either way.

    Best Regards,

    Casey
