TCAN1051-Q1: Absolute maximum ratings for V(logic_input) at VIO=3.3V

Part Number: TCAN1051-Q1

Hello,

My customer was wondering what the absolute maximum ratings for V(logic_input) at VIO=3.3V is because I'm not sure if it is +7V or 3.6V(VIO+0.3V) since the datasheet says +7V and VI=<VIO+0.3V.  Would you please tell me that, +7V or 3.6V?  Would you please do what "and" means here as well?

Best Regards,

Yoshikazu Kawasaki

  • Hello Yoshikazu Kawasaki,

    Essentially what this statement is saying is that in most cases the V(logic_input) cannot be 0.3V greater than VIO. However, no matter what the V(logic_input) cannot be greater than 7V even if VIO is already at 7V. This is an upper ceiling to the limit.

    In math terms, if your VIO < 6.7V then V(logic_input) <= VIO +3V. However if VIO >= 6.7 then V(logic_input) <= 7V.

    Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Best,

    Chris
