1Gbps TTL to Ethernet/USB3

Our Ethernet PHYs all support a MAC interface input. If this works for the design, any of our PHYs should work perfect :) Otherwise, a custom conversion would need to be created.

Thank you for your response. We have received a follow up email from the customer.

I took a look at an example gigabit ethernet PHY, for example DP83867IRPAP, but am having trouble seeing how the NRZ signal would connect to the chip. Could you offer any more assistance on connecting the PHY to our analog frontend, or discuss what a custom conversion solution would look like?

Hi Danilo,

Sure, a customer conversion could be built either using an FPGA or an ASIC. The only requirement that would need to be met in the device would be that the incoming signal gets translated into the desired MAC interface. An FPGA design would most likely include some delays and latches.

Does TI have any reference designs for such a converter? And just to be clear: there's no existing IC that can do this conversion already?

TI hasn't made an reference designs for this, and TI's current portfolio does not include a conversion chip.
