TDP158: HDMI output abnormal

Part Number: TDP158

Hi,

I used DP dual mode as input source, and HDMI connector output,

But system detect it is DVI output, so resolution only FHD. I used NVIDIA GPU , Monitor is DELL P2415Q.

Is possibly TDP158 send wrong EDID to GPU? Is there need any special setting for TDP158?

I used PS8402A have no this issue. thanks!

    It is possible that the GPU is looking for the Adaptor ID and if it does not see it, it will assume DVI.

    1. You can force the GPU to ignore the Adaptor ID and into HDMI mode if possible

    2. Since the TDP158 does not have an Adaptor ID, please switch from TDP158 to TDP159 which has a Type-2 Adaptor ID
