Hi, I am working on a DS90UB949-Q1 / DS90UB948-Q1 design and trying to calculate the design margin with a given cable length.  There is very limited information in the datasheet.  So two questions:

1. What is the maximum return loss at 950 Mbps to maintain a reliable link - i.e. with a good margin.

2. Waveform shape - for e.g. 2 Gbps operation should I use cable attenuation figures at 1 GHz, or is a higher frequency figure needed?
