DS90UB925Q-Q1: Inquiries regarding screen noise generation during initial booting

Part Number: DS90UB925Q-Q1

Hi, Support Team

Customers are developing products using the DS90UB925Q-Q1.

During booting, noise occurred as shown in the figure below.

The circuit diagram is attached, so please review it.

4466.Serializer.pdf

When I checked about the problem, it was confirmed that the screen noise did not occur when the Remote Auto Power Down of Reset[0x01] is held as PowerDown[1] among the serializer registers during the

timing of the problem being reproduced.

When I checked about the problem, it was confirmed that the screen noise did not occur when the Remote Auto Power Down of Reset[0x01] is held as PowerDown[1] among the serializer registers during the

timing of the problem being reproduced.

Q1) Can the Remote Auto Power Down of the relevant register be regarded as the same function as the PDB controlled by external HW?

Q2) In the document, the operation of the relevant register is stated as '1: Power down when no Bidirectional Control Channel Down link is detected'.

Please provide a supplementary explanation because understanding of the link is insufficient.

Q3) If you have any prerequisites or additional information for stably controlling the register, we will ask for a guide.

Thanks.

Regards,

MJ

  • Hi MJ,

Can you check to make sure that the  inputs are not driven before VDD33 and VDDIO have reached their steady stare value.

The register means that if the DS90UB925Q-Q1 does not detect a back channel signal then the device will be in a low power state. this is different then the PDB pin controlled power down.
