DP83822I: DP83822I

Part Number: DP83822I

Hi !

I am using DP83822I Ethernet PHY in my design.

1) What is the status of RESET_N pin during PHY reset ?

2) Whether internal pull-up for RESET_N pin is disabled during PHY reset ?

3) What is the internal pull-up value ? Is it 9 KOhm ?

if anybody knows about this, please convey.

Regards,

Rohidas

  • Hi Rohidas,

The RESET_N pin is an input pin with a pull-up. When this reset pin is set low, there are no additional changes in the pin's status. When a low value is applied to a pin with an internal pull up, the voltage at the pin will be the low value because you assume negligible resistance on that connection. The pull up resistor does not disconnect or disappear. And, you can assume anywhere from 6.75 kOhms to 11.25 kOhms, per the datasheet. 9 kOhms is typical. If needed, I can ping design and ask them for more information on the pull up.

    Thanks,
    Lysny
