Dear Team,

The system is DS90UB953-Q1 link to DS90UB936-Q1. For DS90UB953-Q1 which operating at 4.16 Gbps, but the DS90UB936-Q1 is 3 Gbps.

The customer wants to know whether  DS90UB953 need to downgrade the speed into 3 Gbps.

If need, how to setting register configuration of the DS90UB953.

    Hello Denny,

    Please note that although the 935/936 are described as 3Gbps devices, please note that the lower speed is actually referring to the reduced CSI-2 available bandwidth, not the FPD-Link line rate. The 935/936 FPD-Link rates match 953/954 exactly - i.e. the forward channel runs at 4Gbps or 2Gbps depending on the clocking mode. There is no 3Gbps forward channel mode available in 935/936. There is no need to design a different PoC network for 935/936 and the channel recommendations are exactly the same as 953/954. The only difference is the allowed total CSI-2 input bandwidth. The 935/936 can accept up to 2.528Gbps (632Mbps/lane or 316MHz CSI-2 clock in 4 lane input mode) per port.
