Hi team,

My questions are as follows:

1. is there a reference design under the control of MCU?

2. Under the control of MCU, is it master mode or slave mode?

3. In the case of MCU control, whether add0 / ADD1 is needed, my design is to use a MCU to control a ds125df111

4. is there Diagram of clock and data, and the command, read / write, address, etc. in the datasheet can be indicated?

Hello Zhonghui,

1. If you plan on using the TI USB2ANY hardware/firmware as your MCU, a schematic of a 25G retimer containing the USB2ANY hardware may be obtained through MySecureSW access by placing a request via the DS280DF810 TI.com product page. This schematic can be used as your reference design.

2. Under the control of a MCU, the DS125DF111 is in SMBus slave mode.

3. When controlling the device using a MCU, ADDR0 and ADDR1 still must be set.

4. Figure 3 in the DS125DF111 datasheet shows a timing diagram for clock and data. The datasheet also has the retimer registers map. Additionally, we have a 10G retimer programming guide available on TI.com:
