About using XIO2001 to build a bridge!

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: XIO2001

Dear all.

I intend to design a system using a SoC and Ti's DSP(C667x).There needs a plenty of data transfer between the two.

The SoC only supports PCI 2.3 which is fit for the high bandwidth, and the DSP supports PCIe x1.I found the XIO2001 may be suitable to make the role.

But I'm not familiar with the protocol of PCI or PCIe. So if I want to make the SoC(PCI end) as the Host and DSP(PCIe end) as Target, all access action is initiated by the PCI end.Could it be ok for the XIO2001 to act as the bridge in this situation?

Thanks for all answer.
