TPS65987D: SPI access when no power input.

Hi team,

I'd like to know the SPI status when there is only VIN_3V3 and no Vbus.
My customer wants to direct-write(SPI) to FLASH with J2 connecter that like the TIDA050012 circuit.
I care that a TPS65987D with no Vbus will get an input signal and break.

Please let me know if a buffer is needed between TPS65987D and Flash with SPI communication.

Hi Kengo,

I'm not sure I am understanding completely, is the customer trying to update the Flash contents? Could you provide some more details and what they are trying to accomplish?

The behavior that the TPS65987D will have if no patch configuration is on the patch will depend on the ADCIN pins to select the default configuration.
