Hi all,

We have TUSB9261 in our custom board to be used as SATA to USB bridge. After power up the device is detected as "TUSB926x Boot Loader device" in TUSB926xFlash Burner Programmer Software (On Windows 7 32-bit OS).

I have downloaded the firmware from ti website (TUSB926x Default Firmware, U1/U2 Disabled (Rev. L) (ZIP 446 KB )). But the firmware file is getting downloaded without any extension. If I select this and click on Program, It is giving error message as "The selected file must have a "*.bin" or "*.hex" file extension. I have renamed the file with ".bin" extension, but when I click on program it gives error as "The firmware file must be under 64513 bytes". I have tried renaming the file as ".hex" file also, but it shows "The selected .hex file is not valid".

Can you suggest me what might be the reason for this problem and how can I resolve this.

Hello,
The .zip package that you download from ti.com only contains an installer.
After you run that installer a folder named "Texas Instruments" will be created on the Program files, you can find the .bin and .hex on that folder.

Thanks for the reply.

The firmware file is an installer? if it is an installer, how can I install when it is getting downloaded without any extension as (sllc416l). And I have tried installing by renaming it as .exe file. Nothing is happening. Or you are getting confused with TUSB9261x Flash Burner software which is already installed as described earlier.

Please suggest.

Yes,

The file you download from ti.com for the Default Firmware is an installer, you have to run it and it will create a folder named Texas Instruments on your program files with the bin and hex files.

Hi,

What I am observing is that, it is not a .exe file by default to run and install. Even after renaming it as .exe file it is not getting installed. Can you please suggest how can I install it.

Maybe you are downloading the wrong file.
Please download this file www.ti.com/.../sllc416 it contains a .exe that will install the firmware.

I have downloaded from the link you have shared. It is not getting downloaded as .exe and it is not installing.

I am not getting what is the issue. Can you please suggest.
