    The SN75ALS172 is not available. The SN75ALS172A is the preferred replacement for this part.

    Our customer already uses SN75ALS172. but this datasheet is not available.
    Can we replace perfectly ?
    If SN75ALS172A has improved spec , please let me know.

    Pinout for DIP package is the same, however pinout for DW package is NOT same. 

    SN75ALS172
     
    DC Parameters:
    IIL = (When VI = 0.5V) -360µA Max 
     
    IOS = (When VO = -7V to 12V) 500mA max.
     
    ICC = (With no load and Outputs enabled) typical is 38 mA and max is 60mA.
    ICC = (With no load and Outputs disabled) typical is 18mA and max is 40mA.
     
    AC Switching Parameters:
    td(OD) Differential-output delay time = (With a RLoad of 54 ohms) typical 45ns and max is 65ns.
    tt(OD) Differential-output transition time = (With a RLoad of 110 ohms) typical 80ns and max is 120ns.
    tPZH Output enable time to high level = (With a RLoad of 110 ohms) typical 80ns and max is 120ns.
    tPZL Output enable time to low level = (With a RLoad of 110 ohms) typical 45ns and max is 80ns.
    tPHZ Output disable time from high level = (With a RLoad of 110 ohms) typical 78ns and max is 115ns.
