TUSB9261: programing alternatives

Hi,

I want to use the TUSB9261. USB to SATA bridge. in my design

The design Host use USB 2.0

it exist system the Host and the device are connected (board to board). the SATA device is removable.

Can I use USB 2.0 channel for programing the device? ( I read at the forms that someone had problems with that)

the Host using Linux as OS, Can you provide programing tool that supported Linux ?

Can you recommended SPI flash for use with the TUSB9261 (data sheet include obsolete parts)

can I program SPI flash diractly ? how?

Hi,

Please accept my friend request for the linux based tool. This will allow you to program the SPI flash using TUSB9261 over USB. No particular SPI flash needs to be used, however the flash should have minimum flash size of 512 kb (64 k × 8). You can also program the flash directly if you would like.
