DS90UB953-Q1: Cable length limitation and S-parameter for FPD-Link III device

Would you provide any explanation materials which show required limitation of S-parameter on transmission line for SERDES?
A customer found a documentation for design of FPD-Link III system as shown in below, but the documentation don't describe such limitation.

How to design a FPD-Link III system using DS90UB953-Q1 and DS90UB954-Q1

I think the customer want to calculate maximum length of cable or allowable loss in a connector from the limitation and cable loss.

Table 227 in the 954 datasheet has the channel requirements.

Thank you for your reply.

One of the customer's assumption is to use 953A and 960.
In this case, I think that table 7-6 and 7-7 in 960 datasheet show the channel requirements also.
Is my understanding correct?
