ISO3088: DW0016B Footprint selection

Part Number: ISO3088

Hi,

I have a design where I have been using the IC ISO3088DWR. Datasheets shows two footprints for DW package. What is the difference between them and which one should I prefer.(Note: I don't have any HV system on the other end and my usage is for isolation purpose.)

  • Hello Balakrishna,

Thank you for reaching out. The landing pattern on the left was introduced to comply with systems that have a >8mm clearance requirement (where clearance is the "line of sight" distance or the shortest air path between two conductors).

If 8mm clearance is not a requirement for your system and you have no HV concerns, then either land pattern will work.

    Best,
    Andrew
