ISO 1450, transformer reference

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ISO1450, SN6505B

Hello,

We use ISO 1450 for RS485 network.

In the documentation, typical application schem (fig 52), you indicate SN6505, TPS76350 components, and a transformer, do you have reference for this transformer for ISO1450 (not1410) with good isolation (for electrical station environment).

Regards,

Bruno.

  • Addtionnal information if needed, bus RS485 is for 1 Mbit/s

  • Hello Bruno,

Thanks for reaching out. I understand that you are looking to use ISO1450 and are looking to use SN6505 and TPS76350 shown in figure 52 to supply isolated power.

For transformer recommendations, please consult Table 9-3. (Recommended Isolation Transformers Optimized for the Device) of the SN6505B data sheet. We recommend several different transformers that work well with the SN6505B's common applications.

Figure 9-3. Typical Application Schematic also shows common applications and a detailed design procedure for designing isolated power.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Best,
    Andrew
