Hi all.
I would like to drive RS-485 with DCDC of the digital Isolator.
Is it possible with the following configuration?
I think it is possible if THVD1424 can be powered by the secondary side power as follwing.
I thought I use ISOW1432, but I want to switch terminal resistor, so I am thinking of using THVD1424.
Please let me know if you have any other recommend configurations.
Best Regards,
Ryusuke
Hello Ryusuke,
ISOW7741 can be used power another logic device. There shouldn't be an issue to use ISOW7741 as a method of power and isolation for a discrete RS-485 transceiver.
The SN6501 and transformer driver family is another option if a larger amount of isolated power is needed.
