ISO1452: Is "A" signal corresponding to Rx+ and "B" to Rx-?

Hello everyone,

I'm going to design a full-duplex configuration of RS-485 (i.e. 422, please correct me if i'm wrong!). Now, look at these table I just made:

ISO1452 PIN	SIGNAL
A	RX+
B	RX-
Z	TX-
Y	TX+

Are these matches between signals and pin right?

Hello Bob,

The above table is correct.

The following post describes a lot of the differences between RS-485/422 standards: (+) THVD1424: Difference between RS-422 and RS-485 4-wire implementation. Essentially it comes down to the hardware connection topology.

RS-422 specifies how to transmit unidirectional signals. If you want both directions, you need two differential signal lines.
RS-485 specifies how to transmit bidirectional signals over a half-duplex, shared bus.
