SN6507: MAX output current under SN6507 push-pull isolation configuration

Hi,
Is it difficult to exceed 0.5A on output current under SN6507 push-pull isolation configuration?

My customer wants to implement the following.

Input : 24V +-10%
Isolated Output : 24V
Isolated Output current : 550mA

Webench of SN6507 is only MAX 500mA current. That is why I am asking.

Hi, Verma-san,

I have additional questions.

What do you mean "ISW1, ISW2" as follows on the datasheet? Peak current of SW1/SW2 or Average of SW1/SW2?
When current limit is set MAX 1.3A (peak current), I think it is possible for SN6507 to output 0.55A average. When output is 0.55A average, are any issues occurred? Please advise us.

Hi M.Hattori,

1. ISW1 and ISW2 are the current through SW1 and SW2 node and its recommended to maintain it below 0.5A for proper operation.

2. Peak Current limit is set to 1.3A is to protect the device from getting damaged. It might work at output load of 0.55A but If used outside the Recommended Operating Conditions but within the Absolute Maximum Ratings, the device may not be fully functional, and this may affect device reliability, functionality, performance, and shorten the device lifetime.
