The question has come up as to where the SN74AVC2T244 can handle a 3.3V input signal when its VCC is 1.8V. It appears to me that the datasheet implies that it can by saying the absolute max input is 4.6V and does not related it to the supply.
Is there a concern of damage if the input is 3.3V while the supply is 1.8V.
