TXU0304: SPI clock speed and I2S data integrity

Part Number: TXU0304

Dear Team:

1. I want to use TXU0304 as a 1.8v to 3.3v voltage level converter between 1.8v SOC and 3.3v SPI flash. The SPI flash will run at 50MHz. Is this feasible?

2. I want to use TXU0304 as a 1.8v to 3.3v voltage level converter between 1.8v SOC and 3.3v I2S audio codec. Will the Schmitt trigger function of TXU0304 input reduce or affect the accuracy of data transmission? (I2S MCLK around 50MHz)

3. I want to use TXU0304 as a 1.8v to 3.3v voltage level converter between 1.8v SOC and 3.3v SPDIF Interface. Will the Schmitt trigger function of TXU0304 input reduce or affect the accuracy of data transmission? (SPDIF around 75MHz)

Best Regards.

  • Hey James,

TXU0304 will be good for all of the scenarios, the speed of the SPDIF may be too fast. Section 7.6 in the data sheet contains data rate info. The Schmitt-triggers will only affect timing if the transition times are long, otherwise any variance is negligible.
