Hello,
I plan to use the part to interface between 2.7 volts powered MEMS microphone using TDM protocol, and a 3.3 volts TDM testing fixture.
TDM uses only 3 signal wires, all of which unidirectional, CLK and SYNC come from the test fixture and go to the microphone, while DATA(single line) comes from the microphone and goes to the test fixture.
The clock frequency is 12.288MHz.
Since only three lines of the TXS0108E are used, I am left with 5 lines that are in excess.
I plan to leave 4 of these lines floating, expecting that since there are internal pull-up resistors in the TXS0108E, leaving them unconnected will not cause any issues.
It so happens, that the level translation board was added after the microphone board and the test fixture were designed and implemented, and so the A1 pin on the A side, is permanently connected to the system GND. There is nothing connected to the corresponding B1 pin on the B side.
My question is: Based on the description above, will the part function as specified in its data sheet? More specifically, can I leave A1 connected to GND, or I have to somehow lift it off.
Best regards,
Vlad
