SN74ALVC244: 16bit buffer smaller than 50mm^2

my customer is looking for a 16bit buffer similar to 74ALVC244, but in a package that is smaller than 50mm^2, eg a BGA package.
They need 0.8mm pitch.

There is no such device.

The nearest BGA device would be the SN74AVC24T245, a 24-bit transceiver with 0.65 mm pitch (45 mm²).

The smallest non-BGA device would be the SN74AVC16834 (TVSOP with 0.4 mm pitch, 72 mm²).
