SN74LVC1T45: What is the difference between SN74LVC1T45YZPR and SN74LVC1T45YZPRB?

Hello,

With the ongoing supply chain issues we are not able to source the SN74LVC1T45YZPR in time for our build, but we have found stock of the obsolete SN74LVC1T45YZPRB device. However, I cannot seem to find it listed in the SN74LVC1T45 datasheet and when searching for SN74LVC1T45YZPRB on the website I can't seem to be able to find any info on it.

I'm hoping someone would be able to tell me what the difference is between the 2 parts? leaded vs lead free maybe?

The same package with lead would have been SN74LVC1T45YEPR.

I have not been able to find any information. But a suffix after the "R" probably indicates a different reel, or a different orientation in the reel.

Our end customer is able to get it through their european distribution channel, and are willing to make the purchase on our behalf. They are not sharing their sources with us unfortunately.

Our customer is also not able to confirm the difference between these parts, and have rightfully put it back onto us to confirm the SN74LVC1T45YZPRB will work in our design.

If there isn't a tape/reel difference, suffixes usually mean it is a custom part. We can try to look into this and get back to you by next week.

Hello Greg,

The difference between the parts is that the SN74LVC1T45YZPRB has a backside coat. Essentially there's an additional processing step, but functionally these devices will be equivalent.
