SN74AVC2T45: SN74AVC2T45YZPR Marking Information

Part Number: SN74AVC2T45

Hello,

Can you please help to explain why these components would be marked with "TD7" instead of "TDN" as it calls out on the datasheet and on ti.com. We have a customer who is questioning the marking so I would like to provide some explanation for this.

Thank you

  • Hello,

I'm assuming this is a device that is no longer in production?  If so, then the topside markings may not exactly match what's in the datasheet. These change based on date and  location of manufacture, as well as other factors. The datasheet only lists current production device topside markings.

  • Hello,

This particular lot was produced in 2010 and the device is still active. Here is a picture of the label that we have in the warehouse:

I'm not sure if this will be able to tell you anything about how the parts were marked when they were produced.

  • Thanks - the shipping label is helpful.

Re-reading my initial post, I wasn't very clear.

The device with topside label "TD7" is no longer in production, which was one of the variants of the SN74AVC2T45YZPR. I only know this because I checked the assembly sites and there isn't one currently that matches what you have described.

This page in the datasheet is generated from an automated system, so the "TDN" topside marking is pulled from the currently active versions of the device. To give an example of a device with more than one manufacturing site:

Unfortunately, once a site has been removed, that information is no longer in the system, so I have no way to verify for certain details regarding its construction.

I can only provide support for actively produced devices -- while the part number SN74AVC2T45YZPR is active, the one you have is no longer being produced.

That being said, I would expect that it would function the same as any other SN74AVC2T45YZPR. It's just no longer being produced.
