SN74AHC1G08: output rise time across -55 to 120C

Part Number: SN74AHC1G08

Hi,

I am looking for the t_rise spec on the output (100pF or 1nF) across the temperature range (-55 to 120C), the typical at 25C seems to be <1.5ns, but would like to know if this remains below 3ns .

A table or graph would be preferrable.

Thank you.

Regards,

Alberto

  • Hi Alberto,

I'm afraid I don't have data on that because the device didn't include a transition time specification.

The output transition time will scale linearly with loading. I would recommend against exceeding 70pF directly connected to the output, as the device is only rated at a 50pF load. Anything larger than that, I would add a series resistor to prevent over-current conditions.

The IBIS model gives an idea of the range of transition time with a 15pF load:

This was taken with a 50 ohm load, which is why you see a large voltage offset.

The corners (blue and red) cover temperature and process variations (strongest and weakest, respectively), so it should give you a good range of transition time to consider, at least at 15pF load.

We would expect the same % variation at higher loads, and a linear relationship with load capacitance.

  • Thank you Ermys,

    this is what I needed!

    Best regards,

    Alberto
