TXB0108: Input Drive Current vs. Output State

Part Number: TXB0108

Hello TI Support Team,

A few questions:

  1. For any given input-output pair on the TXB, consider the case where the input A1 is being actively driven high to 5VDC and the >2mA drive is achieved. If the output pin B1 is floating, and probed with a DMM, would you expect the translated voltage to still appear on B1?
  2. Is the +/-2 mA current requirement sunk in the internal circuitry of the on-chip buffer? Or is this spec referring to current that the external device on the output pin has to sink?
