Hi All,

Please tell me the product with short propagation delay time.

The SN74AVC8T245 has a propagation delay of 1-5nsec.
Is there a product with a propagation delay of 1nsec or less?

LSF translators have the shortest propagation delay (because they are passive switches and not buffered).

The fastest buffers can be found in the AUC family, e.g., SN74AUC244, but they can be used only to translate down. The fastest buffered level translators are in the AXC family, i.e., SN74AXC8T245. But there is no buffered device with a maximum delay < 1 ns.

What exactly do you need such a low propagation delay for?

Hi Dylan, Hi Clemens,

A level shifter is required when inputting from the FPGA to the RFDAC.
Customer is using SN74AVC8T245 as a level shifter.
The RFDAC does not output the analog signal correctly from the RFDAC due to the delay.
Therefore, I am looking for a low delay level shifter.

I think that there is no delay level shifter product of 1nsec or less.
It's an application issue and I would like to advise the customer to review the inputs to RFDAC.

Hi Ishiwata,

Understood, it does sound like the RFDAC requires nothing to be in between FPGA and RFDAC if it needs essentially no added delay.
