Delay line Buffer - Delay a Signal

What kind of signal? Does it change during those 5 seconds?

For a simple signal whose changes are slower than the delay, it might be possible to build a circuit based on the SN74LVC1G123. But an actual delay line needs some kind of memory to be able to replay the signal later. That would require at least a microcontroller.

Its a normal static signal/GPIO Signal. I have thermal shutdown application, when temperature crosses threshold - Temperature Sensor will send Interrupt signal to FPGA and also I have to use the same signal to shutdown the Power/Regulator Section after a delay of 5-10sec post assertion of the temperature shutdown signal/interrupt.

How long does the interrupt signal stay active? What voltage, and what polarity?

Its a non maskable active low interrupt - it remains low as long as temperature is above threshold indicating high temperature shutdown. It will be de-asserted once temperature falls below Threshold Temperature. I'm planning to use the interrupt signal directly to shutdown power without having any FPGA/CPLD/Controllers. If I had option to add a controllers/FPGA, it would have made my work easy. So, I'm looking for other simple solutions.
