SN74LXC8T245: Data rate throughput question

Part Number: SN74LXC8T245

Hi TI team,

I'd like to understand better as to why the data rate speed decreases as the VCC decreases (on A/B sides).

Is this a slew rate issue? Can you please explain in more detail?

Thanks in advance,

Dan

  • A higher supply voltage results in higher gate-to-source voltage at the internal MOSFETs, which results in lower RDS(on). This affects both the (dis)charge times of the gates of the internal transistors, and the slew rate of the output driver transistors.
