This part looks great for my application. It is able to be retriggered and it has clock frequency division. My biggest concern is that in the data sheet under features it states that the oscillator frequency range is DC to 100kHz but under the description portion it gives the equation for the frequency, resistor, and capacitor values and it states "Where frequency is between 1kHz and 100kHz". So I need to know which requirement to follow either the CD4541B is capable of an oscillator frequency range of DC to 100kHz or it is only capable of an oscillator frequency range of 1kHz to 1000kHz.
The device itself can run at lower frequencies, but then the formula is less accurate because the leakage current of the capacitor becomes noticeable. You will have to experiment.
Thank you. My application does not require me to be exact on time so I can live with a little less accuracy.
