SN74LVC8T245: Require case Temperature for Part Number SN74LVC8T245PWR

Thanks for reaching out regarding the case temperature. In order to obtain the temperature, we first need to know 3 things.

Tjunction max, junction to case resistance, and power dissispated.

-Tjunction max: 150°C

-Junction to case resistance RθJC(top)

Depending on device package:  PW Package: 27.6  RHL Package: 38.1

-Power dissipated which can be calculated can be found here:

After these 3 numbers have been found, multiply the power dissipated by the junction to case resistance

and subtract that value from Tjunction max. This will give you the max case temperature in your case.
