SN74LVC1G125: Datasheet Specs

Part Number: SN74LVC1G125

Hi Logic Team,

Can you please provide the following specifications for the SN74LVC1G125DBVR, which I was unable to find in the datasheet?

  • Output voltage for Active State and Three-State
  • Output capacitance
  • Maximum power dissipation

Best regards,

Nic Gough

  • Hi Nic,

    Output voltage for Active State and Three-State

    The output voltage in the active state is specified clearly here:

    As for the output voltage in three-state -- I assume you mean the high impedance state. The device is not actively driving a voltage at the output in the high-impedance state, so there is not a defined voltage in this state. It will depend on your circuit.

    Output capacitance

    This is not specified or characterized for this device, but we would expect to see around 3 to 5 pF at the output. Can I ask what the application is that requires this information? It's very unusual to ask about.

    Maximum power dissipation

    This depends on the application and can easily be determined using the given thermal values in the datasheet:

    For an example, if I were using the DBV package in an application that would have a maximum ambient temperature of 60C, then the maximum power can be calculated as follows:

    P_max = ( T_junction(max) - T_ambient(max) ) / RθJA

    P_max = ( 150C - 60C ) / ( 229 C/W ) = 393 mW

    -

    In case you wonder where I got the maximum junction temperature from, please see this FAQ: [FAQ] What is the maximum junction temperature (TJMAX) for a device?

  • Emrys,

    Thank you very much for the answers on this.

    Best regards,
