SN74AUC2G04: TI product practices and design methods especially for SN74AUC2G04

Part Number: SN74AUC2G04

I have questions regarding TI datasheet definition.

  1. Could you share the test circuit diagram of inverter SN74AUC2G04? Especially I would like to know how the VIL and VIH is tested in TI with test circuit condition. I found some vendor mentioned load for testing and so on.
  2. Io in absolute maximum rating table below.

Is that +/-20mA  satisfied under any operation temperature range like -45’C ~ 85’C of free-air condition?

We would like to know any derating regarding temperature variation for clarifying.

  • Hi Vincent,

VIL and VIH are not measured values - these are recommended input values. You may be confusing them with thresholds, which are VT+ and VT-, which would appear in the electrical characteristics table if they applied to this device.

VIL and VIH are indirectly tested during functional tests - we use VIL for a "LOW" input and VIH for a "HIGH" input to validate the functionality and VIL / VIH values of all devices.

These are not performance specifications, but limitations on operation. The absolute maximum ratings table includes limitations on how the customer can use the device -- do not ever exceed any value listed.
