Hi team,
if I want level shift I2C from 3.3V to 1.8V,
May I know what's the benefit of level shifter if we can do it by just using a single MOS and 1.8V power source ?

The TXB does not work with I²C.
The TXS0102/TCA9406/TCA9416 do work with I²C. They have rise-time accelerators, which allows much higher frequencies.
The LSF0102/PCA9306 do work with I²C. Each switch is a single MOSFET, but the gate voltage is kept higher than 1.8 V to allow somewhat higher frequencies.
Hi Ladisch,
let me rephrase ,
what's the the TXS0102 benefit if we can do it with single MOS?
is there any other benefit that I miss?
Hi,
so you mean when in normal I2C frequency (400KHz or lower),
a MOS might just fit as well, right?
