I'm using SN74LVC1G11IDCKRQ1 logic gate for my design. And I want to do FMEDA analysis for functional safety. So, I need some information such as failure mode distribution, FIT rate etc.. Could you please help me about this topic? Is there any documentation which I can access?

Hello Nazli,

I can provide some information on the forums, but a full functional safety report is restricted, so you would need to work through your local TI sales rep to request this.

For a logic device, the pin failure analysis is pretty quick and easy.

* An input shorted to another input, output, or supply pin will cause a functional issue (non damaging, but functionality is limited).

* Any output shorted to another output, VCC, or GND (including thermal pads) can cause a catastrophic failure of the device

* Shorting VCC to GND won't hurt our device, but it won't be so good for your system in most cases
