Hello Team,

My customer wanted to know the maximum junction temperature ( not ambient, but junction) where the device (74AVC16T245DGGRG4) can fully operate? The datasheet shows that the 150C absolute max junction temperature for stress screening only and functionality is not implied.

    Correct operation is not guaranteed above 85 °C ambient.

    Common limits for the operating junction temperature are 125 °C or 150 °C.

    With the maximum recommended DC load of 16 × 12 mA × 0.7 V ≈ 134 mW, in TVSOP, the junction temperature would be 85 °C + 82.5 °C/W × 134 mW ≈ 96 °C, which is certainly safe. With Cpd ≈ 17 pF, each MHz adds about 0.25 °C.
