SN74LVC1G14: logic gate based square wave oscillator, 3.7kHz

Hi all

My customer needs to implement a 3.7kHz (+/-300Hz) square wave oscillator to drive a buzzer and they are looking at the SN74LVC1G14.

Please refer to their schematic below.

Any other idea how to implement this function using logic gates ?

For logic gates, the switching thresholds are not very well specified.

Consider a relaxation oscillator with a comparator (SNOA998). This is the same circuit as above, but the additional voltage divider sets a more precise threshold. The LMV761 has a shutdown pin and thus safes the AND gate (if its output is strong enough for the buzzer).
