Using TXB0104 for SPI Signal Level Translation

Hello,

I am planning to use TXB0104 to translate the signal level of SPI signals from 3.3V (from microprocessor) to 5V (for slave devices). There are 3 slave devices on the same SPI bus with different chip selects.

The slave devices are as below:

1. SPI based Isolator + Digital - Analog Converter

2. SPI based 8 channel Relay driver (TPL9202)

3. SPI based 8 channel solenoid driver (TPL9202)

Is the drive strength of TXB0104 enough to drive these devices or do I need to use a buffer after the translation ?

Please advise along with suggestions for translator if any.

If the maximum load will exceed 70pF, (including input capacitance of the slave devices and trace capacitance [2pF/inch is a rough estimate]) then you should consider another translator.

If this is the case you might have to use a multiple device solution, like 4 SN74LVC1T45 or a buffer after the translator.
