Hello,

A customer is asking if the SN74LV1T34DCKR could drive load of 30mA ?

Could you please advise?

The absolute maximum rating is 25 mA, so the device might get damaged.

And even exceeding the recommended operating condition (of 8 mA in this case) would probably not leave enough voltage for the load. Please note that the supply voltage affects the drive strength.

Use a logic family with stronger output drivers, and use multiple outputs in parallel, if needed. You probably want the SN74LVC2G34. (If the input signal has a lower voltage, put a level shifter like the SN74LV1T34 in front.)

Yes.

Even a single LVC output (e.g., SN74LVC1G34) is rated for 32 mA, but the V_OL of 0.55 V leaves only 3.95 V for the load. You have to determine if that is enough for your application. (With two outputs, V_OL is halved.)

Hey Victor,

Does the translator need to be single supply only? Otherwise the LVC/LXC family devices can provide 32mA of drive strength in regards to your application as well.
